Firearm-Informed Therapy
This training is designed to support ethical, informed care in settings where firearm-related conversations may arise. We offer two structured formats: one for clinicians and medical professionals, emphasizing therapeutic communication, liability awareness, and trauma-informed care; and one for non-clinical teams, focusing on safety culture, policy, and preparedness. Each version is customized to meet the learning needs of your team, reinforcing professional responsibility and cultural competence.
Study & Research
The Mind Safety Institute supports ongoing inquiry into the relationship between mental health and complex medical experiences. Current areas of study include the psychological impact of medical transitioning and the mental health outcomes associated with gastric bypass surgery. These projects aim to inform trauma-aware care, reduce stigma, and enhance provider understanding through thoughtful, ethically grounded research.
